Sunset at Griffith Observatory

The short but steep hike up Mt. Hollywood behind the observatory. Don't forget to stop and admire the view.

Griffith park doesn't close until 10pm, so you can stay up on Mt. Hollywood for the sunset. Just remember a flashlight!

Mt. Hollywood offers 360 degree views, including views of the famous "Hollywood" sign.

The vast city lights are particularly photogenic after dark. Bring a jacket and plan on staying for nightfall.

  2. This is a wonderful sequence of shots. I love bare trees against the sky and the setting sun is so vibrant. All of these are great and I also love your shot on the homepage of Skywatch Friday.
